We collect the following types of information:

• Phone Number — used for OTP-based sign-in via Firebase Authentication
• Profile Information — name and profile photo you optionally provide
• PG Details — property name, address, bed groups and photos uploaded by PG owners
• Payment Information — UPI IDs and rent payment records (no card details stored)
• Attendance Data — check-in and check-out timestamps
• Device Token — FCM token for push notifications
• Usage Analytics — anonymised app usage via Firebase Analytics

🎯 How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate users securely via OTP
• Enable PG owners to manage tenants, beds and payments
• Enable tenants to view their membership and pay rent
• Send push notifications (notices, payment reminders)
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Detect and prevent fraud or misuse

🔒 Data Storage & Security

All data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), which is SOC 2 and ISO 27001 certified.

We use Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access their own data. Passwords are never stored — we use phone OTP only.

📤 Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

• Google Firebase — for database, authentication and storage
• Firebase Analytics — anonymised usage data
• Razorpay — if you use payment gateway features
• Law enforcement — only if legally required

🔔 Push Notifications

We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications such as PG notices, membership expiry reminders and payment confirmations. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.

👶 Children's Privacy

PG Sathi is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

🗑️ Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process your request within 7 business days.

📝 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes via the app. Continued use of PG Sathi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
